SABAI DEE! (Hello), from the Land of now only 2000 elephants left. I chose LUANG PRABANG, the World Heritage City in Laos, as the last destination of my trip for having heard it was the quietest, most peaceful destination in S.E. Asia. What a paradox: I aimed to find peace in the MOST BOMBED COUNTRY IN HISTORY, where abundant UXO (unexploded ordinance = bombs) still claims many lives today. ... read more
