We've now crossed the border from Thailand into Laos and what a journey! It started at 7:30am on sunday at the bus station in Chiang Mai. The plan was for us to get the 8:30am bus to Chiang Khong which is the border crossing into Laos. However we found that the bus was fully booked and that the next one wasn't until 1pm!
