Ferryland lighthouse is located on a beautiful point with whales swimming along the shore, gulls squacking and terns cavorting. You can order tea, treats, lunch etc in this old renovated lighthouse then head down to find your perfect picnic spot. The lighthouse gives you a blanket to sit on and a flag so they can find you. Well, I started my sabbatical July 1, 2007 and I have a year to refresh myself, explore the world...and analyse data, submit some publications, and present at conferences ! I wish I could send you personal emails to keep in touch but I just don't have the time nor inclination to huddle over a computer in a dark internet cafe corner when the exciting world outside is beckoning me to explore, play and adventure !
