Last weekend I ditched the 'relax at home' or, as I like to call it, 'be a hermit until Sunday' philosophy by taking up my co-worker Tun Nyo's offer of heading to the hills (or more like the palm-lined villages) for a personal tour of temples, old friends and the land his family used to live on. I am 23, Scottish and spending 3 months in Bangladesh interning with the UNHCR - a dream experience for me despite (or perhaps because of?) the hardships. I was kindof hoping to be able to have a page that only my friends and family could read as, for one, I can't imagine my life being that fascinating to anyone who doesn't know me.
