In Timbuktu in Mali there is a tower of 3,000 rifles that were burnt to commemorate a peace treaty between the Tuareg and the black south. Reason for being...moments of reflection...may the messages endure.
The Knife Angel Been to see it twice . Once in its home in Oswestry with Jo and Woolly Mammoth of TB fame . LOL. We sometimes need hard images like the one you mentioned . They tell the story more sometimes than reading about the idea or events .
