Gold State Coach

Royal Mews: Gold State Coach. Commissioned by George III in 1760 and completed in 1762. The coach weighs four tons and is suspended on jacks when not in use. London Day 2: A Royal Day Out

Today was the day for the "Royal Day Out". This annual event is the opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace to the general public while the Queen is on holiday in Scotland.
