Auschwitz I. Roll-call Square. There were three roll-calls a day, often lasting hours, will all prisoners standing at attention. The wooden kiosk was for the camp guard conducting the roll-call. Oświęcim - Auschwitz

Today was our visit to the Auschwitz concentration camp. A somber day, but a must. The name Auschwitz itself conjures up the Holocaust and its horrific images.
