They took two hours to search everything, including sleeping bags, and panels of the bus – and this was only the disembarkation from Afghanistan! Joan and Neil have posted blogs below on the following trips: 1. South America for 3 months, from Sept07 through to Nov07, visiting each of Ecuador (including the Galapagos Islands), Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina. 2. Far north Thailand in Mar08 where Neil taught English at a Summer School for the SPF charity he was involved with. This also included a side trip for the weekend to Luang Prabang in Laos. 3. Iran
Again the politics are sad, Merry Jo. I understand why your country classifies Iran as 'evil' but as a country and a people, you'd go a long way to find more interesting and friendlier. Interestingly, I made a brief visit there on business 30 years later and felt exactly the same about them.
