On borders
You mentioned that you want to live in a world without borders. We have visited a place which is the total opposite of that - Baarle Hertog/Baarle Nassau. It is a small village in Belgium/Netherlands where borders have totally gone wild. There are country borders inside the village which has led to neighbors living in different countries and one set of laws applying to businesses on one side of a street and another set of laws has to be followed by businesses on the other side of the same street. It is bizarre situation really and we absolutely loved to visit that place. /Ake

Hi Ake. That would be a fascinating village to explore! We have two towns separated by a river on the border between two Australian States - even though technically in different States, it operated as one big town for everyday life... until the State border closed last year when one of the States was it by a second wave of covid and was in lockdown. It created chaos for the residents. Shows how arbitrary borders can be! :)
