Although the flight time to Paphos in Cyprus is just over four hours the journey from Preston to reception at the hotel took thirteen hours. Work colleagues and friends used to ask if I'm a secret millionaire, the truth is we live in a modest house, buy cheap cars and don't spend our money on 'stuff'. There's no pockets in a shroud, we want memories to grow old with, not things. Some of the holidays are quite flashy and pricey, but most aren't as we take advantage of cheap flights.
