LEAVING KUNMING We left Kunming and boarded our bus - the journey was going to take up to six hours, depending on traffic, heading up into the mountains but it would give us an opportunity to watch the world go by. Catholic Church Dali
What a beauty. I have posted this in TB's "Cathedrals, grand churches, mosques & places of public worship" thread in the Photography Forum. Yunnan is full of surprises.

We were totally amazed with this church too Dave - just love the way the upturned eaves on roof corners made the buildings look so attractive, they are of course the most identifiable part of Chinese roof architecture. The golden cross on the top was remarkable too particularly when I first saw it through the arched entrance. Regards Sheila
