North to Iowa, the roads were the worst!

July 3 Today we’ve got a pretty long trip. Straight North out of Columbus to Amana Iowa. Originally we were going to stay near a lake at a Corp of Engineers park but it only had electricity and only 30 amp so only one air conditioner could run. For us traveling was something we always planned on doing in our retirement. Thankfully retirement came in April 2014. It took us a while to settle into our retirement home in Arizona. Last year we started a blog for family and friends as a way to take them along on our 5 month trip to Alaska. It turned out we enjoyed the blog as much or more than our followers because it was a reminder of our trip and all the wonderful daily adventures that faded over time.
