The Cathedral

The Cathedral is the largest of the seven churches in Glendalough. It was built in several phases from the 10th through the early 13th century. It ceased to function as a cathedral when the diocese of Glendalough was united with Dublin in 1214. DSC_0682
The Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough

Our shore excursion from Dublin was again by Paddywagon Tours. The motorcoach tour would take us to the Wicklow Mountains and the Glendalough monastic site, then return to Dublin for a city tour.
