"This large brick building was the first permanent Naval building and the oldest brick building on the Island". Building 1 of Key West Naval Station. Acquired by the Coast Guard in 1939. DSC_0897p1

In our cabin mailbox arrived a warning notice: our port call at Key West would be during the annual Fantasy Fest. Passengers were cautioned they might see some outrageous things ashore!
