I’d like to report on the cultural opportunities I embraced in Lagos but I don’t think there are any, or at any rate I wasn’t interested in them. Work colleagues and friends used to ask if I'm a secret millionaire, the truth is we live in a modest house, buy cheap cars and don't spend our money on 'stuff'. There's no pockets in a shroud, we want memories to grow old with, not things. Some of the holidays are quite flashy and pricey, but most aren't as we take advantage of cheap flights.
