There is a huge lock gate opening from the Lez in the foreground into the lagoon and canals of the Port. From the calm waters of the lagoon boaters can motor down to the Mediterranean.
Montpelier walking trips

Montpellier is well situated for taking day trips to nearby (and sometimes not so nearby) towns. But, we have discovered there are lots of neat places to walk in Montpellier.
