We were in no hurry this morning so had a lazy start at the hotel and enjoyed the surroundings.
Took the coast road from Gibraltar to Cadiz which took a couple of hours.
In Cadiz, we decided to stop at one of their supermarkets to get some sun cream for the boat, as we thought it might be expensive on board. Good job we did as there were no shops on board, and the cream in the car is very well hidden.
Arrived at Cadiz docks at about 1.30pm and checked in.
Nicely surprised to find out that the price we have paid for the ferry crossing includes three meals a day. A very unexpected bonus.
Got loaded onto the boat about 4. It is a strange vessel. Lots of cabins, some recliner chairs, a cafeteria and a restaurant, and that it is. The boat is basic but clean with good services.
Time to relax
We had hoped for some wi-fi, but this was not to be. We shall be using the time to unwind and charge up our batteries.
Dinner in the evening was plentiful and even George managed to find something that he liked.
Good job that we bought the sun cream as George is already burnt.
Cabin is cosy but enough for what we need.
A good night’s sleep was had by us both.
