From Samana, DR we picked an amazing day to get ourselves across the Mona Passage, which is known to be difficult if the conditions are less than perfect.

Did I mention that we saw many whales from Samana to Puerto Rico? Pretty cool beans.

After checking in at Mayaguez, we moved on to Boqueron which is a touristy, beachy, party town that is only really open on the weekends. But the beach was fun even though it was dark, course sand, which you find in most of PR. (I miss those gorgeous white sand beaches!!)

Making our way further on, we stopped at Giligan's Island for one night and an important dinghy ride to Copamarina Beach resort to get online so that we could send notes and photos to Mackenzie for her 23 birthday.
