We were told Rainbow Beach was really worth it for its spectacular multicoloured sand cliffs. So of course, this tiny town could not be passed on our way to Brisbane.

You can imagine our disappointment when we arrived on the beach and did not see these multicoloured cliffs... Anyway, this small town does has something quite special, as we saw 4x4 cars with their surfboard driving past. There are even traffic signs with speeding limitations on the beach, which made us laugh! It seemed to be a pretty common thing to drive with your car on the beach and to install a picknick table in front of your car to enjoy the day.

Despite our little disappointment, we appreciated this little town for its chilling vibe and sunny weather. That night, we prepared ourself a delicious salad and talked for hours with a good glass of wine in our animated hostel, which made it a perfect day.
