Before, all not feeling too bright
John in front, left is Martin under his hat and me looking..well..not too bad actually After a really cool night last night we had to be up and out at 8.45...damn it, but it was good that we were gona get it out the way so to speak. We booked on with some Sweeds that we have been travelling with the whole time Matthias and Rick also Jamie; and another new addition to team Sweden Martin and a few other faces that we knew. Basically everyone we had met before. The vibe was quiet as everyone had gone out the night before so they were all feeling rather tired. We arrived after a 45minute bus journey up the mountain and then shown what to do, put harnesses on and everything……They get you go over to the cable cart and you jump in weight order, so your waiting around if your lightest,,,,then into the chair…now this is scary, you realise that your about to jump off a cable car between 2 mountains attached by a big elastic band; Not the brightest thing to do eh. Standing on the tiny platform waiting for the all clear, now this is it..legs shaking, having no choice but to just take that leap of faith, can I do it…ermmm…and were off…ahhhhhhhhh.
Meanwhile Charmaine is videoing the whole thing and done a fine good job of it too…taking lots of pictures. Good job Charmaine =)
After this we decided to get back grab something to eat and have a lovely afternoon power nap. We need to recharge the batteries for tonight of course. We saw the Scottish lads which we met at rainforest retreat in franz Josef. They were just about to go and do the jump so I just let them know it’s the best thing that iv probably ever done. The sheer height is terrifying. We all decided that we were gona wear our t shirts out tonight that you get for free once you do the nevis jump, you cant buy the t shirt! Part of an exclusive club now.
We went down to the other hostel where the Scottish lads were stayin and had some drinks before we went out. Well infact we had a lot of drinks..by about 10pm there were about 20-25 people in a tiny 6 bed dorm, no where to move or anything, it was well funny. We then heard a knock on the door and it was someone who worked there
that said we all have to leave. Funny…anyways once again another cool night out. People getting you free drinks etc, its all good. Charmaine doesn’t need to spend any money here, she is a bit jammy when it comes to drinks. Another night of sheer FUN
