NZ's favourite plants for geocaches

Overseas geocachers sometimes need a bit of help identifying plants that Kiwi geocachers use to hide caches in. Two they often use are flax and agapanthus. Naturally, these are the two I dislike the most as I seem to spend a great deal of time on my hands and knees, poking round under the leaves, trying to find that elusive geocache. Other favourites are the pohutakawa and punga. The reason for taking time to Google these before setting out? There are many rural areas of NZ where cellphone coverage just doesn't exist or is patchy so you may have to rely on the clues and notes written by those lucky enough to have already found the one you are looking for. Having an idea of what the plant looks like will hopefully make things a bit easier. But flax and agapanthus tend to grow in large groups/clumps......
