After a long flight from Santiago we were glad to land in auckland, although we arrived at 3.30 in the morning so we found some sofas at the airport lounge and relaxed for a few hours. As soon as we arrived we had the feeling of beeing back in a western country, as it only took us 10mins instead of 2hours to retreve our bags and within 20 minutes had some lovley fresh cappuchino and a chai latte in our hands, no drink had tasted better in 3months. We checked into the hostel later that morning, spent 3 days recovering from losing a whole day with time difference before we were ready to get out and explore New Zealand.

We got our ass's into gear, hired a car and began our roadtrip. Driving all the way to the bottom of the South Island before making our way back up.
