Queenstown N Z

We drove, Saturday morning, from Te Anau back to Queenstown. Spent the day roaming around the main part of the tourist area and beach close to our hotel. Lots of activity on the lake with boat cruises, Sea-dos, etc.

Queenstown has a lot to offer the tourists. Great restaurants, many hotels and other accommodation, a great lake with boat tours etc. Winter it has skiing.

We had a great time just hanging out and looking around town and people watching.

Similar to ski resorts in Canada there is a lot of mountain biking here in the summer. Apparently some pretty good hills for those so inclined. A local says the skiing is O.K. but not at the same level as Whistler or the bigger hills in Canada.

All in all a nice place to spend some time. Great restaurant called FLAME for a great meal in the center of it all.
