AMAZING REFLECTION WE SAW ALONG THE WAY GOING TO START OF ROUTBURN TRACK. NOTICE MY REFLECTION
HI EVERYBODY HOPE YOU ARE ALL WELL, SORRY I HAVE BEEN LATE IN SENDING AN UPDATE OF MY BLOG ITS BEEN REALY BUSY DOWN HERE, HARD WORK ENJOYING YOURSELF!

WHILE IN TE ANAU FOR MY SECOND TIME ME AND BEN HAVE BEEN WALKING ALMOST EVERYDAY, WEL IT SEEMED LIKE IT. bEEN DOING LOTS OF DAY WALKS ALONGSIDE SOME OF THE MAJOR AND VERY FAMOUS HIKES SOME LASTING 3 TO 4 DAYS.

THE ROUTEBURN WAS A HIKE WHICH LASTED THREE DAYS A TWO NIGHTS CAMPING. THE WEATHER WAS A MAJOR FACTOR WITH THIS ONE. THE FIRST DAY WAS AN ABSOULUTE WASHOUT! IT RAINED MOST OF THE DAY, THE VIEWS WERE CRAP TO SAY THE LEAST, HOWEVER EARLAND WATERFALL WAS PUMPING HAD TO ALMOST WALK UNDER IT.(CHECK OUT PIC) THE SECOND AND THIRD DAY WERE GREAT ONLY SNOWING A FEW TIMES. ON THE SECOND DAY WE ALSO WENT ON A SIDE TRIP AND CLIMBED CONICAL HILL VERY IMPRESSIVE VIEWS CLOUDS SEEMED TO PART JUST AS WE GOT TO TOP.

LAKE MARRIAN WAS JUST A SHORT 4HOUR DAY WALK UP A MOUNTAIN TO VIEW THIS ALPINE LAKE IN A HANGING VALLEY. WELL WORTH THE EFFORT.

THE MILFORD TRACK WAS

AMAZING REFLECTION WE SAW ALONG THE WAY GOING TO START OF ROUTBURN TRACK.
ONE OF MY FAVOURITE HIKES, IT IS ALSO ONE OF NEW ZEALANDS MOST FAMOUS. IT TAKES FOUR DAYS TO COMPLETE AND IS QUITE EASY FOR US. MOST OF THE WALK IS FLAT OR GOING DOWNHILL ONLY ON THE THIRD DAY DID WE HAVE TO CLIMB A PASS IN THE MOUNTAINS CALLED MACINNON PASS. ON THIS DAY ME AND BEN BEGAN CLIMING ABOUT 5 IN THE MORNING TO GET SUNRISE AT TOP. MANAGED TO GET UP AND HAD THE MOUNTAIN TOP TO OURSELVES FOR 2 HOURS UNTIL OTHER WALKES CAME UP. THE REST OF THE WALK WAS MAINLY DOWN HILL. WAS ONE OF MY BEST WALKS.

HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS INSTALLMENT PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS

Yeah, looks OK i s'pose...
You git! Milford looks amazing and the walks sound fantastic....but wouldn't you rather be struggling with coursework and doing yet another dissertation? Of course you would. I may create my own blog showing pictures of journals, books, and exciting coursework titles to make you jealous. And New Zealand.....bit of a long way to go for a walk int it?? Take care you lucky bugger, love Shellxxxxx

Hi, your'e so lucky to have done all this. The view from the toilet must be amazing, there's probably someone with a camera trained on it, you'll be on the internet somewhere. Just a few thoughts; who empties it, were do they keep the spare toilet rolls, were do you wash your hands etc etc. x
