Edition 2 from New Zealand - a few highlights from Queenstown and Fijord Land.

Still blessed by great weather - even the gloomy clouds that greeted us at Milford Sound departed before our cruise began.

The panorama is a view of Milford Sound from the Tasman Sea.

Queenstown
Walking the beautiful shoreline around Queenstown at Easter.

Up the Gondola
The gondola took us high above Queenstown, giving us spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables - mountain range in background.

On the Trail
Scaling the slopes high above Queenstown - 500 vertical metres in 90 minutes. A great workout!

Ben Lomond Saddle
The rewards of a challenging climb. Phenomenal views from the saddle - only the elite athletes continued to the Ben Lomond summit.

Lake Hayes
We loved the reflective views around Lake Hayes - and the relatively flat walk - a stroll in the park after Ben Lomond.

Queenstown Hill
A return to cardio exercise on this great walk to the top of Queenstown Hill. Our first sighting of clouds in 6 days!

Road to Milford
On the road from Te Anau to Milford Sound - rather spooky clouds shrouding the valley in front of us. Our first rain in a week cleared as we arrived at the fijord.

Milford Sound
Waterfall from a hanging valley - but for some sense of scale, spot the cruiser at the base of the falls - 3 decks tall!

Milford Sound 2
Stunning scenery - massiveness can't be captured on the camera, so again I've included a large vessel at the base of this towering sea cliff.

Gaz...I've known you & Jan for many years. I know you are both pretty fit but I've never really thought of you as an "elite athletes"!!!

Totally correct Gordon. That's why we DIDN'T attempt the final leg to the top of Ben Lomond. Didn't want that 'E' tag. Cheers G&J
