Lake Wakatipu Lake Wakatipu Lake Wakatipu

Scene so beautiful that I shut my eyes
Jen's painkillers making her feel lethargic so we decided not to walk, but on a scenic car tour along the edge of Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy. The scenery is stunning. The lake is an intense blue in the bright sun. The snow-capped mountains add the icing to the scene. We did manage a short walk along the lake edge. It was St. Patrick's night so on our return to Queenstown the pubs were buzzing. We indulged in fish and chips (the fish being the usual tasty Hoki). We tried to walk some of the calories off with a lovely lakeside walk (passing a golf Frisbee course in the park). Afterwards I managed a solitary Guinness (Jen not drinking because of the drugs).
