Milford Sound...a simple fact...the longer they haven't had any rain is 9 days in a row! This is the wettest place
of New Zealand....a green country!

Second fact...277 km from Queenstown by road...around 75km if you treck...well, once again...not an option with a 6
and 8 years old.

From Te Anau, last big village with 1300 people living there....there is 120km to Milford Sound, and not a single
petrol station...so be ready.

But before all...if there is no rain, there are less waterfalls...and if there is rain, there are waterfalls! We had
rain!

One more fact, a Sound doesn't mean anything, it's a kiwi word...it should be call the Milford Fjord...know you know
what we are speaking of.

Made our way late afternoon from Queenstown after doing the luge. Stop in Te Anau to play some golf. And final stop
53km from Milford Sound to set up in a cove with an amazing view...really enjoyed!

I'm happy as we went most of our way without any traffic...and when you mean traffic, it's tour buses after tour buses.

If you ever come here, do the same as us. Head there for the first morning cruise. You've got a huge comfortable boat,
and only 20 of us on the boat.

Not the seasons for the penguins, and we didn't see the dolphin either. But we saw many seals playing around. Pics of them
are not great sadly.

The cruise is a 2 hours experience with a lot of info by the crew. Really enjoy all this trip. And they take care pretty well
of the little ones also.

The best part is by far the tens of waterfalls all over the place. Nothing to do with Iguacu, Victoria or Niagara...
but still great sights!

And our way back...this is where you encounter the crowds, and even our first traffic jam...right in the middle of
the Hommer Tunnel.

So a great day, but the pics speak for themselves. I'm sure the place must be amazing also under a blue sky...but it
was good to have something else, as these clouds hanging on the rocks are so cool!

No more entry for few weeks....but don't worry, we are preparing some amazing entries very soon.

Have fun! We do!
