Had a fab time back in Sydney and caught an early flight to New Zealand. Flew over the Southern Alps - a simply fantastic view. Picked up out new van (dont tell cilla!) called Gollum!!! He's a Wicked Van! Went straight up to kaikora - the capital of the world for whale watching. Saw 3 Sperm whales diving - a cheesey, inspirational sight. After leaving Teearkee (the name of the Whale!!) on our way back we saw a pod of 200 dolphins - i hope you get the chance to see the video we caught, becasue they were amazing; just like something out of disney land. In the evening we went for a spot of star gazing- looking at the milky way, loads of shooting stars, star signs. Special moment was seeing Saturn, Mars and two other galaxies. All rather bizarre!

Also stopped of at Hoitika, where we saw glow worms (flies lava which literally glows in the dark) and a sunset over the Pacific Ocean where the sun actually disappears under the ocean. Off to Franz Joseph Glacier tomorrow, should be fun...
