Edit Blog Post

You,ll be right mate.
Cherry and myself would like to thank you all for replying to our blog . We really enjoy reading your replys from home, if anything, a little more info as to whats going on at home please.
Anyway, we went to Queens town and had a wonderful time, Cherry and Lin went on the TSS Earnslaw steamer to Walter Peak homestead and had a wonderful time seeing the house and gardens, wine tasting, food tasting, the lot. Rog and me went on the Shotover jet down the Shotover river, what a thrill, only to be beaten by our Para gliding the next day. That was superb. Queenstown is a buzzy place with lots to do. they have a Irish pub called Pog Mahones (kiss my arse) where we had a very good night. We then travelled up to Fox and Franz Josef glaciers for two nights and walked upto both glacier tongues. From there we went to Greymouth, visited the goldmine shanty town, panned for Gold and got some, honest, then we went to Montieths micro brewery and sampled approx 7 ales, all good, including a few Gold medal winners. Yesterday, 7th we travelled over Arthurs pass to Christchurch. Today we have been up the Gondola, around the Banks peninsular and around town, its a really nice place. Tomorrow we are visiting the Antarctic centre where the temps in some display rooms are minus 18 degrees, looking forward to that. Sorry no more pictures again but computer is nearly ancient.Mon we are flying to Sydney, hopefully get some photos sent then
All our love

Cherry and me.

Sunday!
Hello all, sounds as if all is going well you lucky people! I am out of breath just reading about your travels! Home here weather is crap, loads of heavy rain and terrific wind, nothing to do except put up the decs, which Dai did yesterday while I went to Swansea! Dai has started his Christmas doos in Cleddau Bridge, Jonathan went with him last night to do magic and card tricks around the tables before they had their meal - he loved it!! Iwent to Scolton Manor with year ones on Friday and the Christmas Fayre was on that night seemed to go well. Well am off now to get dressed ( well, it is Sunday!!) and brave the storm to go to Tesco for something for dinner- and the Sunday papers, Dai is going to light the fire in the dining room. Oh, just remembered! the police rang here yesterday I had petrol from Ridgeway and forgot to pay for it, Dai was not pleased!!!!

Still Going Strong
Hi you two. You certainly are making the most of this trip. A question - What is the Shotover Jet and what did it do. I quite like the idea of beer tasting but am not sure about the paragliding. Just to make you homesick its blowing a gale here and p*****g it down. Ahh I hear your despair at missing such weather well you will jet off and suffer in the name of progress. Back to earth now, on Saturday its Andys silver wedding bash. A big gathering is happening at the Old Barn in Whiston. Kev and Zoe are coming up from Stamford and Joe, Owen and Rhys are coming from South Wales. The latter are stopping until after Christmas and the little one is teething. It will be great to have them but I see some disturbed nights ahead. Well by for now hope you are enjoying Aus. Oh by the way can I put some of your photos on my web site I thought it might add a bit of interest. If you prefer it that I don’t just say so I would quite understand. Love to you both Mike and Sue (I keep forgetting to add Sue “she not happy”)

Merry Christmas
Hi G and C Sue and I wish you a Merry Christmas. Its 7-00am Christmas day and I am waiting for Young Rhys to get up and open his presents. I cant get my head round the time zones but I reckon you will have your Turkey by now. The cold snapwe have had has now disappeared and we are heading for a warm wet spell acording to the weather man. With a bit of luck we will see John this Christmas as on his last trip home both Sue and I had the flu. Guess you must be having problems with computers down there as the last blog was End of NZ. Rhys has just landed on my lap so I will go and have to open presents now. So once again Merry Christmas - Mike and Sue
