Saturday 1st Mar - Day 39

Sunday 2nd Mar - Day 40

Up very early to meet Adam at the airport at 5.50am. Picked up our hire car, had a walk around Auckland then went to some beaches.

Mon 3rd Mar - Day 41

Surfing at Piha. Huge waves!!

Tuesday 4th Mar - Day 42

Surfing at Raglan. Andy arrived at midnight, after getting a free boot clean at the airport bio security!

Wednesday 5th Mar - Day 43

Went up the Auckland skytower in the morning, which is the highest tower in all of the southern hemisphere. Then drove to rotorua, which is where most of the volcanic action is.

Thursday 6th Mar - Day 44

Volcanic guysers and Maori cultural experience including the Haka. Drive to Turangi.

Friday 7th Mar - Day 45

Tangariro crossing (over volcanic landscape). Awful weather!

Saturday 8th Mar - Day 46

Drive to Wellington. Big night out.

Sunday 9h Mar - Day 47

Ferry to South Island.
