Enjoying one of the things I like best in life. Just walking on a long sandy beach with surf coming in and waves coming up the beach.
Well. Here I am and haven't I been slack, no communications for weeks. I am now back driving and after not being able to, it is great to be back on the road. One great thing about not driving, I walked and walked, sometimes for 2 to 3 hours a day, and enjoyed it most of the time except when the awful weather made it wet and hard. Labour weekend we went up to Amy's and had the place to ourselves for 3 days while they were away. It was nice to have some good weather for walking on the beach at Waimarama, which is a neat beach, long and beautiful, a typical NZ ocean beach, going to a few picnic spots around the Bay and looking at hundreds and thousands of grape vines around the region. I have a very healthy respect for these vines, as apparently they make wine from the grapes. So that means you can never have too many grape vines around the place. Some times it seems as though you are driving for ever through vineyards. There are some great tasting places to stop as well. The Hawkes Bay is certainly a great place with so

much to do, and of course the fishing. Good restaurants, plenty of places to get good coffee and some interesting shops. Of course, having family there is magic and they came home so we could catch up before Di came back to work and I stayed up there to have a couple of days fishing with Jeremy. Fished 2 rivers, the O'Hara and the Tutaekuri. Fish in both and we had some good fishing. So back home and catching up with a few friends, family and others. Getting into a bit of work around the house{not much} but the weather has controlled what I can do a bit. {My excuse!} . I will be back on the bike this week, so the fitness will improve as well. Looking forward to the hot weather they have promised and Christmas is only just around the corner. I will try to find some interesting things to do and to take photos of. Hope all is well in everyones world and that life is good. Pip/Rod.
