Looking down the track from Kelburn lookout to Wellington harbour.
Today we docked at Wellington. We took the shuttle bus into town and walked to the cable car which took us up to Kelburn(e). The town was originally spelt with the final "e" but by the time we got there it changed its spelling :-}

The views of Wellington were stunning. We seem to be running out of adjectives to describe New Zealand. We walked around the top of the mount and went to the cable car museum. This was really interesting. Don bought me a cardigan in the museum shop.

We came down in the cable car and walked around the stores. Being Boxing Day the sales started. It is a long time since I went to the sales on the day after Christmas. Sales give Boxing Day its modern meaning! Oh we found a Starbucks, coffee with a kick (at last). Don bought trousers at 50% off (no that doesn't mean one leg only). It started raining so we had to take shelter in a dress shop and to pass the time until the shuttle bus back to the ship, I had to buy several skirts, a dress and a top.

We went back to the ship. As they had a deal on the wifi - double minutes for the regular price, Don spent some time doing financial housekeeping and I did some studying.

Dinner was up to the excellent standard but we were surprised not to have boeuf Wellington and shocked to have Napoleon for dessert. Talking of food I forgot to mention that we didn't have turkey on Christmas day :-{

After dinner went to the casino and came out evens. Our towel may have been a monkey but we called him Yoda.
