Wellington- Mt Victoria Climb- A day in the forest

Mt. Vic is located in Wellington , and shoots up from the city streets! Korey and I have been eyeing it up for a couple days , and finally decided to have a go at it… It’s not a huge hike, but enough to get your heart rate pumping… it was funny for me comparing what a forest should seem like in Canada as opposed to NZ.. Everything is similar but very different as well.. The types of trees, the ground vegetation, the climate, the birds, very cool to be in the thick of it …à Getting to the top was pretty amazing, with a panoramic view of Welly- Another wicked convo point was that between the two mountains, Mt Vic and its opposite, airplanes were coming in for landing approach, while they landed we were standing above them looking down!! Amazing !!

To finish up Wellington was an amazing city and by far the coolest I’ve visited.. Not sure if it was the hospitality of Brandon and Andrea, or my first experience of travelling abroad, but I felt a connection with this place !! I will be Back!!
