A Special Christmas.A Special Christmas.A Special Christmas.

The whole family at the top of Te Mata Peak in Hawkes Bay.
What a magic Christmas we have had and the New Year was great. With only a couple of days left before we head to Sydney with Chris, Hege and the girls, I thought I would get this update out.

Chris and family arrived safe, sound and not looking at all jet lagged on the 17th of December and what a great reunion for the 4 girls, as Holly and Ella had flown down the day before so they could all meet up at the airport. The pleasure I get from watching these 4 just take up from when they were last together, which was in Norway, Christmas 2016, is emense. So so nice! We had 3 days doing things around Wellington and surrounds so the girls could really get together, renew their friendships and enjoy the led up to Christmas. Unfortunately the weather didn't help us to do a lot of things we had planned but we still had a wonderful few days. Walking, talking, going to the beach, talking, climbing a few hills and talking and also lots of swimming in the pool, a couple of water fights and lots of coffees and treats.

On Friday the 21st
Together Again.Together Again.Together Again.

Two years may have seperated their last time together but it seemed as though they hadn't been apart.
we headed up to Hastings so that we could all stay with Amy and Jeremy and enjoy what was left of the lead up to Christmas. For the first time that I can remember in my visits to the HB the weather really wasn't what was expected, but in the end it really doesn't matter, as the family were all there and we were doing the pre Christmas things that mattered. Christmas day dawned bright and early with the girls up and ready to see what "Santa" had left them. All 4 were happy girls by the time it was time for breakfast, and so the day progressed with games, food and the usual Christmas sprit. Unfortuantly Jeremy had to fly into the hills in search of some trampers but arrived back after a successful mission, in time for our family Christmas dinner. A great feed and a great day. Lots to do, lots of fun and a family wedding to look forward to in Martinbough. Pip/Rod
