Jen’s cousin David (who is a doctor who has been on placement in NZ) is staying and the five of us travelled o the quaint town of Masterton for lunch, which is in the middle of vine growing country. There wasn’t room for us all to fit in Alex’s Stag so I took our car, with Jaine as passenger The route passes over a large scenic mountain with wonderful twists and turns and beautiful scenery. We all indulged in a fragatto which is a simple but delicious combination of vanilla icecream an espresso and drambouillet. After lunch we visited a great cheese shop. Alex and Jaine took David to the airport for his flight back to the UK whilst we snuggled down on the settee with Nellie the dog and the imperious cat. We had a nice evening of cheese, biscuits and wine consumption.
