Wednesday 25th November. up at 4am for the the flight to Dubai, stop over for 2 hours. then caught flight to Bangkok, arrived at 8am Thursday 26th, 1hr 30 to hotel due to the rush hour in Bangkok. Was going to a floating market but was told they packed up about 1ish, so we decided to go up to the river kwai a day earlier, got a private taxi as too late for the train,cost 2.500 baht it was a 3 hour run,got there about 3.30,luck had it the hotel had a room, it was on the banks or the Kwai. Went for a walk on the bridge, and found they where doing a reenactment of the bombing of the bridge,pyrotechnics and a light show with a mock battle very impressive. As dusk fell went on a long tail boat ride down the Kiwi to the war graves very sad, they are immaculate, then traveled to a temple.later had a Thai red curry it was so hot my mouth was very sore,the cure for it is banana very effective.
