Today wasn't any less action-packed than the others! We woke up at 5:30 (still not on schedule), checked out of our motel and went into town. We rented a couple of mountain bikes and rode on some of the most famous trails in the world. It was not only beautiful, but so good to be outside and see more of the mountains. We rode through a redwood forest thick with ferns; it looked like a rainforest. The trails were amazing, to say the least. All I could think of was my dad the whole time and how he could easily spend a summer doing the same.
We headed south again to check out thermal fields and boiling mud from a volcano that erupted in the 1800s. Now we are in the city of Taupo on the biggest lake in New Zealand and we are going to sleep in our camper for the first time. Tomorrow I think we are going to find a waterfall around here before heading straight north to Mark and Cathy's time share on the coast.
We have so many pictures to share, but can't until we get to the condo tomorrow when I can charge the laptop.
Everything is running smoothly, we should be getting the cel phone set up in the morning, and we spend most of our time walking everywhere we want to go. We haven't slowed down for a minute.
Jack says hi 😊
