After another night-time ferry ride, we found ourselves back in Windy Wellington. This time we checked it out a bit more thoroughly as we had some more time to do it all in.

There were loads of cows crossing here, so we thought it made sense to pass the time by getting the camera out

Just off Surf-Highway 45, that runs around the Volcanic Mt.Taranaki, is this famous Surf coastline. And because of the Volcanic nature of it, the sand is black. It's a pretty cool place to come. Shame we don't surf!

To most that would mean a an annoying Fly. But to the Antipedians, that means Man-O-War. The beach was covered in them. So unfortunately I did not get to continue my 'Swimming in every possible place in the world'. Actually we did go into big waves on black sand further north!

Unfortunately the Stunning mountain/Volcano, used as Mt.Fuji in The Last Samurai (it was filmed in NZ, Not Japan people), was covered in cloud the both days.

Laura gets on the beach and works the waves. This beach was getting absolutely Pelted with water. I am sure the B&W film will work here.
