Apparently every six weeks or so, the top goes hard and, after a build up of 2-3 days of pressure, it blow ejecting mud bombs. Again, not while we were there - it usually happens at night.

waters can erupt by up to 3metres. I think they were making it to about 1metre whilst we were there.
