MON - up early for the bus, saw Bruce, said a final goodbye until i get back up to Auckland! met others who are with the bus, Lies (like lisa but without the a) and PJ from holland seem pretty nice 😊 went up Mt Eden first - strange bing back up there, that was my 2nd ever day of work with CVNZ up there! stopped in various places on the way for groceries and other stuff to see, got to Hahei mid-afternoon, dumped our stuff and went off to Hot Water Beach. Was so surreal, got onto the ebach and there were loads of people digging holes in the sand and sitting in them! it's because the area is geothermal and a hot spring runs down the beach into the sea so when you dig a hole, it feels wiht hot water and you can chill for ages 😊 some of the water was so hot it actually burnt!! had to be pretty careful! if you didn't know why everyone was sitting in holes in the sand it must look so weird!! Back at th ehostel and Skins (driver) cooked a massive Kiwi BBQ. Was amazing!!! best bbq ever! i had 2 massive plates of everything (bar meat obvs) mussels, fish, kumara, salads, avocado *drools* soooooo gooood!!! bunch of really nice people on the bus, shame most are lkeaving tomorrow, only 5 of us from the bus are staying longer in Hahei.

TUES - great lie in today 😊 got up and chatted with the ones who were left - Lies and PJ from ACB - a german lass Heike and guy from Glosceter, Will. Steffi and Lara (vols from back in the day) cam ealong to see me!! :D so nice seeing them again after so long!! last time i saw them was november!! walked to Cathedral Cove with them, the others and a friend theyd picked up on the way. Beautiful there!!! really breathtaking, especially in the sun. bumped into a couple i had met on TiriTiri Matangi on the beach 😊, quick chat, then wen texploring the rocks, constant catch up with Steffi and Lara 😊 drove back down to Hahei and sat on the beach there for a while watching a massive fire on the Maori Pa at the end of the peninsula - found out later was a big gorse fire that some idiots had started, it was so big, lucky nothing major happened! Left Steffi and Lara 😞 next time i see them will be in Germany or England i guess... and went back to the campsite for food
