So different from Australia

We have been in New Zealand now for six days and the contrast between here and Australia is so vast. The scenery is very much like England but prettier and more spacious. the distance between each place we are staying is such a long way so far - to get to a couple of our destinations it has taken over 7 hours in the car on really bendy roads which seem to go on forever. Hopefully the next destinations will be much quicker to get to. We went up to the to the Bay of Islands where we did some sand surfing - it was great fun but to walk up to the top of the sand dune took us 15 minutes and to surf down took 15 seconds!!!! I only did it once but Jan and Rob did it twice.
