A bit of a late start today. I decided that I wanted to go to Weymouth (people said why?) I have no idea but it was always a place I wanted to visit. Weymouth is on the shores of Manukau harbour. I would have to say been there done that and if someone asks if it is worth going to take a look I would say no. After a very quick visit we headed to Ambury Regional Park. The Regional park is a further up from Weymouth and also sits on the Manukau shoreline. This park sits on ash-covered lava flows from the Mangere Mountain and has views of the harbour to the Manukau Heads. It takes its name from Ambury Milk Company, which milked cows and ran town milk supply here from 1893 to 1965. The park runs children's education programmes to give the townies a taste of farm life. Its well done and kids get to spin wool, make butter and observe shearing and cow milking. The Foreshore walk is nice and there is plenty of bird life around here if you are one of those Bird watching people.

Last stop today/tonight was the NZMCA Ardmore Airport park. What a cool spot watching all the planes/helicopters. We managed to have a bit of a walk around the area before dark. Plenty of planes for sale if you feel the urge. Will head back tomorrow and maybe get to see all those things people store in the hangars😊
