Flew out of Hong Kong at Chap Le Kok international airport, (you know, the one where they bulldozed an island to reclaim some land), and arrived at Melbourne for a couple of hours before re-boarding and sitting next to a lovely looking petite girl. We slowly starting talking and getting on really well. Kim's from Aus, 24, listens to Def Leopard, and is on a 2 day business trip working for Kraft, (the cheese people!). Anyway, we were getting on so well we arranged to meet later on that night, for a meal and drinks.

After getting through the ridiculously strict 'Bioscan' at Auckland airport, and having the non-existant mud on my boots examined, we headed off in a taxi.

I checked into my hostel and tried to get a quick hours kips, when I was woken up by my dorm-mate - Matt - wandering around in his boxers. A lovely guy, with big hair and a cosy Bristol accent. Soon enters Sylvan, a friendly German guy, and although it sounds like it could break into a 70's gay porn flick, it didn't, and we just had a good chat about all this travelling malarky before I headed off for a shower to get ready for a night with Kim.

Had a lovely time with Kim - she's an amazing person, and we had loads of laughs. She's offered to put me and Adam up for a few nights if we travel through Melbourne, which is really nice of her, and means we can get some clubbing done in what is supposed to be an outrageously good scene.

Kim has a rather worrying alter ego as Action Girl, and has conned me into jumping off the 192m high SkyTower tomorrow. Erm......yes....well....erm....we'll see
