Happy Easter Everyone!

Good thing Wes is feeling better today, which is really nice, as there really aren’t any amenities here. Bad thing is I’ve got the bug that’s been going around here, first Jason, then Kirk, Wesley & now me. Jason took the kids and 2 dogs out snorkeling first thing today, and apparently saw quite a lot off our beach. The dogs were out there swimming for almost 2 hours. The short one, “shorty” gets tired a little faster than “pepe” and likes to go on people’s backs. He hitched a ride on Jason’s and kirks back on the way back to the beach. Really quite a site! Jason also decided to give his back some sun, and that was a bad move, as he got too much sun. Some kind of red I say. Ah well, live and learn. Taveneui is a really nice island, very very friendly people. We walked up to the local store, and there were people shaking our hands, pleased to meet you. It really was a nice experience. For a bit of lunch we got some take out from restaurant called tovotovo, it’s a nice place, with a raised patio, over looking the ocean and a few small islands. One thing we’re beginning to notice here is Fiji time, when things are said to take 10 minutes they’re 20, when the bus is supposed to come at 2, it may come at 3.

Hopefully I’m a little better tomorrow, and we’ll do a bit more!
