we made a few trips to the nearby Blue Lagoon beach from the Sunrise resort - where we were staying, it was a matter of a 15-20 minute walk. Blue Lagoon was on the calmer side of the island whereas our resort was more exposed to the wind.

this is a private island owned by a loaded American who built a ridiculously expensive resort strictly for celebrities and other wealthy couples. Noone else is allowed on to the island. Queen, from the previous pic, used to work there but he escaped...... He told us some very interesting stories.....

Walking on this part of the beach is not permitted as half of it is private. (well, everything is possible)
