Bula from Fiji!

Bula!

Arrived safely in Fiji on Saturday evening; Our resort is very quiet; only us and 2 other couples and the manager/manageress team and staff. Everyone is very friendly! Mind you there are only 11 suites anyway, so even full it wouldn't be busy! The resort is right on the beach; the best beach on the main island we are told and it does look fantastic (if you look down one way! They are building a massive 5 star resort at the other end which is a bit of a shame, but it isn't too disruptive!) Weather hasn't been great so far though! It poured down yesterday pretty much all day, so we lazed around the hotel room and read; played some board games that the hotel has; and ate! But it is warm and the food is lovely!

Today the weather is a little clearer, so we have come into the nearest town (Sigatoka) with our hosts to catch up on civilisation for a couple of hours and do some shopping! The weather is supposed to clear tomorrow, so we are hoping for some proper sunshine for the rest of the week!

This morning we took our first dip in the clear waters of the South Pacific; the water was so warm!

Anyway, we have a week of R&R ahead, so might update again from here or maybe when we get to Hawaii! Not sure of opportunity to upload some pics, but we will try!

Here we are! down here in andean Patagonia. Still quite cold, spring is comming though! Maria came to visit Bolson and just had lunch toghether. Enyoy yourselves and get ready for the hard working american way of life. I'd like to see a foto of David with a complete hawaian outfit dancing with the hoola hoola. hi there... just been reading through the blog, so nice..the dolphin and whales..
