We still owe you a Fiji blog but on one of our last entries we've decided to move into a more "live" update mode.

It seems as if our luck in air travel to date is catching up - we had to leave our beautiful Matamanoa island a day early to ensure we are in proximity of Nadi airport to catch the 955am flight to Seoul (11h) connecting to our flight to JFK (14h).

After waking up at 7am in the midst of a big storm (to catch a 955am flight to Seoul), it seemed that we may still be out of luck. It is nearly 5PM at this point and we have missed our JFK connection and are unclear if we can leave Fiji until tomorrow morning.

Suzi and I both agree that this will most likely be the longest travel day of our lives - most likely around 40-50 hrs total. But the silver lining is that we will most likely get to fly the A380 (the next Korean Air flight from Seoul to JFK) and will try to get the upgraded from business class to first class.

Keep your fingers crossed for better weather in Fiji so we can leave and hopefully be late only 12hs vs 24hs+ 😊
