Did she just wink me?Did she just wink me?Did she just wink me?

Up close with a dolphin at Monkey Mia
Denham was our next stop in the Shark Bay area, ye I did say 'Shark' Bay. I was a little worried and rightly so as we were soon told not to swim in the area as Great Whites regularly visit the shallow waters and may take a fancy to a wee bit human every now and again.

Denham is a bigger town than Coral Bay, but very nice never the less. The main attraction of tourists in this area is the friendly Dolphins at close by Monkey Mia.

There has been a dolphin feeding programme going on there for years and you can go and watch the dolphins being fed and coming very close to you in the shallow waters.

They are really very tame and come right up as though they are having a good look at you, it is amazing to see them so closely, but I have to say we preferred seeing them in New Zealand where they were happily jumping about without any human contact.
