We had a relaxing time while minding our friends' house (and Blackie, their cat) in Floreat. We also picked up our new Outback camper trailer, did some baking and visited family and friends again. We visited the WA museum and also spent a day at the Perth Royal Show, where the displays were interesting (especially the dogs getting ready for the show ring), the rides were good fun, and a sheep herding demonstration carried out by Kelpies ranging from mature-aged to 6-week old puppies was very entertaining. Thomas fell down the ladder of a bunk bed and hurt his foot a week before we hit the road again. Luckily we met up with friends at Kings Park the day after the accident who just happened to have a pair of crutches in the car, so Thomas was able to get around a bit but was forced to ruefully look on at the other children playing at the playground. In all he spent a week on crutches till we got him to start walking on it again gently.
