The Festival at Tom Price had rides and games. I got a hat that is silver and blue with writing. At the caravan park there were lots of galahs. We got to feed them stale bread and rice crackers. It was fun. They are beautiful and soft. We went down the mine road to Millstream National Park. There were trains and we stopped for lunch at the crossing. We saw a mine worker that had a white flag and he went on top of the railway line and unrolled his flag and waved it at the train driver. We waved at the trains and they tooted back to us. We stayed at Crossing Pool in Millstream National Park. There was lots of water in the river. We met some kids there and made paperbark boats and ... read more

An exciting conclusion to an otherwise troublesome week.Yesterday Alexine gave birth to Olivia, our second granddaughter. Both are well and grandparents elated. This week we have travelled only 850kms to Karratha. We had been told in Broome that we had an oil leak from a transmission cooler but that we may be able to get to Perth if we kept an eye on it.Sadly it worsened and on Fri we got a local garage to check it and the advice was not to travel without repairs. We had options thanks to AA membership here and have decided that we are are more likely to get the job done properly if we get vehicle to Perth landrover agency(nearest going west). So tomorrow the car and van get a ride to Perth and on Tues we fly to Perth.Disappointments will be missing a section ... read more

Hi Everyone A little boring today, just wanted to say that we will continue with the travel blog we just need to fix the previous entries up. We will however, endeavour to entertain you all with our everyday adventures and will put more photo's up soon. We are off to stay at Roebourne tomorrow morning, not quite as nice as the Cove but at least Kev and Rob are still there for another week or so. Not sure if they will be heading for home soon or if they might stick around. As for us we are here for about another four weeks (we will hopefully move back to another van park in Pt Samson for the last 2-3 weeks after the 24th of August). Looking forward to a bit of a change and I have ... read more
